Cancer Free Since 2022 – May 2023 Featured Healing Story

Updated: Nov 9, 2023

When Angie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021, it was a fluke. She discovered it after two MRIs related to back pain. Then, she learned she had a cantaloupe-sized tumor on her left ovary. With her intuition, Angie utilized holistic healing and is now cancer free.

Here is her story in her own words:

During my recovery from surgery, I was in a quiet, peaceful environment for months. During this time, I contemplated the physical, mental, and spiritual layers of how cancer formed and how to heal. The physical, mental, and spiritual aspects are equally significant aspects of healing because the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected. I would wake up at 2:00 am each morning and just lie in bed and reflect on how my mental patterns contributed to the development of cancer. One of the dominant mental patterns I held was saying no to life.

I was much more focused on my inner spiritual world, but gradually, my life became imbalanced with the physical level taking the largest hit. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be free from the world (materiality), so the deeper part of me rejected the physical world and the body even though on a daily basis, I still took care of perfunctory physical needs like eating and sleeping.

I was still “enjoying” an embodied life during this time, but I didn’t really want to be in the world. I wasn’t suicidal or even depressed, but the physical world held no interest for me. I believe this was one of the main mental patterns that contributed to the growth of cancer (along with physical habits, etc.).

As for the spiritual aspects, I had several key intuitions that helped me find the way forward. After I was discharged from the hospital and came home, I couldn’t move very well and spent most of my time in bed. Day after day, my external environment grew quieter and more still, mirroring the deep rest I needed to heal from the trauma of surgery.

In this deepening repose, I meditated a few times daily and received intuitions that chemotherapy wasn’t necessary. Prior to surgery, I prayed that it would be the extent of my treatment. When my oncologist later recommended six rounds of chemotherapy, I felt deflated. After all, intuition had told me that I wouldn’t need it, so I was surprised when my oncologist recommended it.

I went home disheartened and feeling deeply conflicted. After a few more days had passed, I kept feeling like I should trust the intuitions. Had I not had other intuitions about forgoing chemotherapy, I might not have searched for alternative treatments or had the courage to say no to the standard protocol. Intuition was my real compass for finding the path forward.

Each successive intuition dropped into my being like a stone in a pond, creating ripples of reinforced thoughts of empowerment. It was intuition that saved me from the damaging effects of chemotherapy and helped me find the road less traveled.

I also received another intuition that led me to find the alternative treatment I needed.

Initially, I knew I did not want to do chemotherapy, but I didn’t know what to do instead. Early one morning while meditating, I had an intuition about Boston. I wasn’t sure what this meant and wasn’t thinking about anything related to Boston, so I simply made a mental note. A few days later, I was on YouTube and found a presentation that Dr. Thomas Seyfried had made on the metabolic approach to cancer.

Everything Dr. Seyfried presented made sense to me about cancer being a metabolic disease brought about by malfunctioning, damaged mitochondria, and that by cutting off glucose and glutamine, the main fuel sources for cancer, healing could occur. While viewing the video, I just knew he was right.

After learning that he was a researcher at Boston College, I was delighted by the synchronicity. This intuition, along with reviewing his research, furthered my resolve to pursue a metabolic approach to treating cancer.

EDITOR’S NOTE: As of January 2023 Angie is thriving post-diagnosis.
