My cancer journey began with a Stage IV kidney cancer diagnosis in early 2024. At the time, I was in my late fifties, healthy, active, recently retired, newly married, and looking forward to many wonderful years ahead. Hearing the words "you have cancer" turned my world upside down. The fear, uncertainty, and overwhelm that follow such a diagnosis can only be fully understood by someone who has walked a similar path.

Early in my journey, I discovered the Radical Remission materials, which profoundly influenced how I approached healing and life. They provided a framework of hope, empowerment, and purpose that continues to guide me today.

Before retiring, I spent ten years at a Big Ten university helping students identify meaningful majors and launch fulfilling careers. Shortly before my diagnosis, I completed my Life Coach certification. Throughout treatment, I continued coaching because it is one of "strong reasons for living."

My life has changed dramatically in many beautiful ways. My experience has deepened my appreciation for health, love, purpose, gratitude, faith, forgiveness, and hope. These are not just concepts I talk about—they are practices I strive to live every day.

As a Cancer Wellness Coach, I combine personal experience, professional coaching skills, and genuine compassion to support others navigating their own cancer journeys. Together, we will explore the principles outlined in Dr. Turner's work and translate them into practical, personalized action steps that fit your life.
