I came through lived experience. First, in 2014, when I heard the words, "You have a rare (GCT), late-stage (3C) ovarian cancer and again in 2023 with a metastatic recurrence. Like many women I now support, my life was divided into a 'before' and 'after.' Illness, loss, uncertainty forced me to ask the question: "If this is my life now, how do I live it fully? " That question became the doorway to everything that followed. I received my health coach certification in 2016, followed by Radical Remission training in 2017. I understand what it feels like when your body no longer feels like home. When fear moves in and won't leave. When medical trauma hijacks your nervous system and steals your identity, sense of safety, and agency. I also know what it takes to gently rebuild from the inside out. I am passionate about empowering and inspiring women to holistically navigate their cancer, apply the principles of radical self-care, seize the day, cultivate joy, and live life with a “no regrets” attitude. • About Us | Radical Remission

Radical Remission® A Radical Remission® is a cancer remission that occurs either without conventional medical treatment, after conventional treatment has failed to work, or when conventional and complementary methods are used in conjunction to overcome a dire prognosis. We believe that, given enough documented cases to research, the cause(s) of Radical Remission® can be uncovered. That is why we created this website – to build a database of medical cases that will help us to understand why some people beat cancer against all odds. Our Mission The Radical Remission® Project’s mission is to share the research and stories about the 10 healing factors. We accomplish this by: Training practitioners around the world to incorporate this research in their practice - The training serves medical and mental health practitioners, certified health coaches, and licensed integrative and alternative healers (such as acupuncture and chiropractic practitioners). Educating everyone on the topic of Radical Remissions - By offering Radical Remission® Workshops , an online course , private and group coaching , and sharing stories via the Stories that Heal Podcast , the Radical Remission® Docuseries, as well as our featured Healing Story library . Our History The Radical Remission Project was born out of Kelly A. Turner, PhD’s dissertation research on Radical Remission (RR). As Dr. Turner began to research RR as part of her PhD from the University of California at Berkeley, she realized that the opinions of two groups of people were typically missing from the 1,000+ cases of RR published in medical journals – 1) the survivors themselves, and 2) alternative healers. Because conventional medical doctors do not currently have an explanation for why RR’s occur, Dr. Turner decided to ask these two ignored groups what they thought could lead to a Radical Remission. Her dissertation research involved a year-long trip around the world during which she traveled to 10 different countries in order to interview 20 Radical Remission survivors and 50 alternative healers about their techniques for healing cancer. Since then, her research has continued, and Dr. Turner has now analyzed over 1,500 cases of Radical Remission. The findings of her research are summarized in the New York Times and Amazon bestsellers, Radical Remission and Radical Hope . In addition, Dr. Turner realized that what was needed was a comprehensive, online database of all Radical Remission cases, so that she and other researchers could continue to research these cases of extraordinary recovery. With the help of your donations, the non-profit Radical Remission Foundation continues to follow this mission to advance the education and support scientific research on the topic of radical remissions. Our Team Kelly A Turner, PhD Founder Kelly A. Turner, PhD is the New York Times bestselling author of Radical Remission and Radical Hope , now in 22 languages, which summarize her research into radical remissions – when someone heals from cancer or another serious illness in a statistically unlikely way, such as without conventional medicine or after conventional medicine has failed. Over the past fifteen+ years, she has conducted research in 10 different countries and analyzed over 1,500 cases of radical remission. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Turner created and directed the 10-episode Radical Remission Docuseries that explores each of the 10 healing factors from the research and features many of the Radical Remission survivors from the books. She is also the founder of the Radical Remission Project offering online courses, in-person workshops, private and group health coaching, the Radical Remission Project "Stories That Heal" Podcast , as well as, trains practitioners how to incorporate the 10 healing factors into their work. Witnessing the sense of powerlessness many patients feel motivated her to later co-found a nonprofit that provided information and resources for those exploring an integrative approach to cancer care. Through that experience, she saw how essential guidance is for people navigating their cancer journey. Liz believed there had to be a roadmap to help people play a more empowered role in their health. This led her to train as a Radical Remission Health Coach. In this work, she has witnessed the power of lifestyle change firsthand and is passionate about helping people living with cancer integrate the 10 Healing Factors into their lives in meaningful and sustainable ways. Liz holds a Master of Science in International Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University (1999), a health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (2017), as well as from the Radical Remission Project (2019). She is nationally board certified by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching in 2020. I have experienced a Radical Remission from a diagnosis other than cancer. Do you still want to hear my healing story? YES! Our ongoing research indicates that the 10 Key Healing factors from Dr. Turner's initial research may also apply to other illnesses (which is why cases of RR from M.S. and Alzheimer's were featured in Dr. Turner's follow-up book, "Radical Hope"). If you experienced a statistically unlikely remission from ANY disease, please share your healing story with our team of researchers here. Will Radical Remission help me find a cure for my diagnosis? The Radical Remission Project does not offer any guarantee of remission by using the 10 key healing factors. Dr. Turner's research has only been conducted on the population of people who have already experienced Radical Remissions; therefore, we do not yet know if the results of this research are generalizable to the general public. However, all 10 Key Healing factors uncovered in Turner's research have been shown (in independent research studies) to significantly enhance and strengthen the immune system. Does Dr. Kelly A. Turner know of a Radical Remission for my type of cancer? Radical Remissions have been reported across ALL cancer types. Although we do not publish our entire database of RR cases, you may browse through our Featured Healing Stories here, and additional cases are included in Dr. Turner's two books and 10-episode docuseries. Due to high demand, Dr. Turner cannot respond to individual requests for finding a certain kind of radical remission. Can Dr. Turner offer me medical advice for a specific diagnosis? Dr. Kelly A. Turner is no longer offering one-on-one consults. She hopes you will find encouragement in her books, docuseries, and online course. However, Dr. Turner has personally trained over 100 Certified Radical Remission Health Coaches, which you can browse through here. In addition, if you are looking for an integrative oncologist, we recommend finding one who is a member of the Society for Integrative Oncology. Can Dr. Turner recommend an integrative doctor/healer for me? Kelly A. Turner, PhD does not recommend any particular doctors/healers, but she can recommend SIO’s page, Glenn’s page, and OncANP‘s page to help you in your search. I don't have cancer. Is Radical Remission still for me? The Radical Remission Project originally studied cancer survivors, but now studies anyone who heals from any illness or condition in a statistically unlikely way.
