Bio
I am honoured to support others as a Radical Remission Health Coach — a path that began when I was gifted the book, Radical Remission, shortly after my diagnosis with locally advanced HER2+ breast cancer in 2019. This book introduced me to the healing factors that have become an important part of my own recovery. As I moved through treatment and into remission, I began integrating those factors into my daily life and continue to live them today as part of my commitment to healing and well-being.
Today I work as a life and wellness coach supporting individuals navigating cancer and recovery through an integrative, whole-person approach. My work draws on the Radical Remission healing factors, mindfulness practices, and mind-body approaches that help people reconnect with their own inner resources for healing and resilience. My work complements medical care and focuses on supporting the emotional, psychological, and behavioural aspects of healing.
I am a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and facilitate Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (MBCR). I also facilitate Healing Circles through Healing Circles Global, and volunteer my time supporting individuals experiencing cancer through group mindfulness offerings at InspireHealth, a BC-based supportive cancer care organization.
My interest in this work grew directly from my own healing journey. During treatment I came to realize that even the most carefully chosen nutritional strategies, supplements, or treatments cannot fully support healing if the body remains locked in a chronic stress response. Mindfulness practice became a way to calm my nervous system, reconnect with my body, and cultivate greater awareness and self-trust. That shift continues to inform the way I support others.
Earlier in my professional life, I practised corporate and securities law and later served as General Counsel for a Toronto-based public company. I also studied, and practised in, Traditional Chinese Medicine and clinical nutrition, and owned an integrative medicine practice in California. While I am no longer practising in those clinical roles, that background continues to inform my perspective on whole-person care and integrative approaches to health.
During my treatment, I also explored integrative approaches alongside conventional cancer care, working with a naturopathic doctor to incorporate targeted nutritional strategies and supportive therapies alongside surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
As part of my continued professional development, I am currently pursuing certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist through the Grace Method. Hypnotherapy offers a powerful way to work with subconscious patterns that influence stress responses, emotional patterns, and beliefs. I have been deeply impressed by its potential to support meaningful and lasting change and look forward to integrating this work into my practice.
Whether someone is newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or navigating life after cancer, my intention is to walk alongside them as they explore what healing can look like in their own lives. Together we explore how the Radical Remission healing factors can be integrated in ways that feel grounded, empowering, and sustainable.
