Bio
Kay is a British-American living in Cambridge, not far from London in the United Kingdom in the East of England. She brings a well-rounded set of skills to seeing people and their wellbeing as a whole, which can be incredibly effective in helping clients feel empowered, feel better and gain resilience.
Kay’s own health challenges including stage 4 colorectal metastatic cancer, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (joint hypermobility type), POTS, fibromyalgia, osteopenia, multiple fractures and more have informed her practice.
As she learned how to manage her health and thrive, others sought her advice - even practitioners sought to introduce her to their patients. Kay loved helping people feel better, and so over a decade ago she took a career pivot into wellness. Building on her own personal experience with exercise rehabilitation, eating well, mindfulness and meditation, she added new qualifications and skills to her toolbox to provide professional wellbeing services to individuals in her care. She is also a longer term martial arts and Qigong practitioner and has been teaching these traditional skills for several years in addition to her coaching and wellbeing practice.
Kay’s approach is holistic and empathetic, combining different practices to support people in their health journey. She lives for the moments when clients express relief and surprise. Clients have expressed feeling truly heard and seen, finding hope and belief in themselves, appreciating specific information and advice when they’re ready to hear it and finding a way forward with sustained changes, whilst developing self-compassion and patience for the more difficult challenges.
With a focus on cancer, chronic pain, everyday discomforts, and unhealthy lifestyle habits and mindful movement, Kay helps people feel better and more empowered with a personalised blend of mind and body care. Her approach is integrative, combining western evidence based science with traditional eastern wisdom - she's able to adapt to meet clients where they're at along this spectrum.
Kay enjoys working with clients who want to be in the driving seat of managing their health, even if they’re new to the idea.
